ADULTING AS A MILLENNIAL
(Narrated by Ashlei Stevens)
As I take you with me on this journey through some of my childhood as a performance artist, and later, a licensed and trained mental health clinician with a small business I want you to get a sense of what building legacy has been like for me.
As I’ve walked this road with passion and intrigue for people in my heart and mind, I learned that being one of the 4% of this industry’s professionals of color comes with great responsibility.
I’ve learned a lot from the many mistakes I’ve made. But I have also learned from the privileges I’ve been afforded. This book shares personal stories from many of those situations.
By the end of this book, I hope you walk away believing in yourself just a little bit more than you did when you first picked up this book. We all need people who believe in us even when we have a hard time believing in ourselves. This book gives you the cheat sheet on how to think, create, and live a meaningful life.
And this is just the beginning.
Remember this: “I didn’t get to where I am alone. I had lots of coaches, mentors, and guides to help me. If you think you can do anything great or become anyone great on your own, you are kidding yourself. Get my book and let me show you the simple but consistent steps you must take for you to stop sabotaging yourself and start becoming the person you were meant to be!”
